[attr="class","top"]FELLED in the night by the ones you think you love they will come for you
[attr="class","one"] [attr="class","tbody"]Blaire had been sitting on the thought for a while now, not that she thought that often. Her best friend had made a pact with an echo, so she figured she would do the same. Might as well make the most out of her short life, right? Sure, this would limit her ability to care for a child, but hopefully its father could do the job if it came to that.
Wrapped in something that seemed to be a traveler's cloak of old was the slimly built female, walking with confidence that was only held by the royals of old. She was a bit of a cocky prick, but who really cared about the minor details? She was about to sell her soul to a demon, and that was how she wanted it to be. She wanted to be strong. To make a name for herself. But first, she needed to find this one that others called 'Lazarus'.
The name seemed a little pretentious, but that didn't make it any less accuracy. Heaving a sigh, the female removed her hood, revealing her choppy pink hair. "Come out, dickhead." She spoke loudly and with conviction, not a hint of fear in her voice. She had always been a cocky one, Blaire. It was just the way she had been raised. There was no place for fear in her life. She waited a moment, only to speak once more.
"Don't be a little bitch, Lazarus. Come out of your cave and get a piece of this!" There was more of a demanding tone now, manifesting itself in her voice as if it happened every day. It actually wasn't that uncommon, but that seemed to be completely beside the point. Whether or not she seemed to be a fool by shouting at some rocks was of little concern to her. She knew the echo was around. She could feel it.
Not literally, of course, but there was a bell of intuition ringing. It was faint, but present.

I'm waking up, I feel it in my bones... there were very few things that could get lazarus to move. food was the main contender in this endeavour. hearing the yelling at the base of his mountain, he cracked open his eyes against the bright sunlight. a deep chuckle rumbled from his chest, almost wheezing in sound. so, someone wanted to play did they? he stood slowly, his joints popping in their sockets. he stayed in his position though, licking his lips slowly and zeroing in on his new prey. kicking aside the bones of the last foolish human who was dumb enough to enter a pact, he stealthily moved down the mountain and began to stalk behind her. he watched her, and the way she moved.
she was arrogant, which worked in his favor. though she was rather small, she seemed confident in her abilities, and he took stock of her weapons. apparently a blade and what he could tell was an empty gun. he narrowed his gaze, noting the make of it. he stood to his full height, eager to make this contract though it didn't show on his face. his feet crunching lightly in the snow, he approached her from behind. one of his eyes slowly faded to black and red, and he scratched at his cheek with his sharp black nails.
"human." he spoke, tone gravely. "you wish to make a pact. what do you have to offer that would possibly interest me?"

[attr="class","top"]FELLED in the night by the ones you think you love they will come for you
[attr="class","one"] [attr="class","tbody"]So there really was an echo out here. The woman arched a brow and gave the creature a look, one of scrutiny and disdain. Certainly she was being mighty haughty, perhaps more so than usual, but she could not help it. The creatures known as echoes certainly were not lookers.
The female shrugged the thought off, remembering that she was not present to find a lover. No, she wanted to sell her soul to a demon. The thought caused her to shudder, but the shudder caused a burst of adrenaline to surge forth from the woman. This would be interesting, no doubt. Her life would not be boring after this, and for that she was certain.
At the creature's words, Cavanaugh snorted. It, like the rest of her, was haughty. "What do you think I have to offer, twit?" The usage of insults was something that had been engrained in the female since she had learned the english language. "Not that you'll be getting anything until you prove to me you're not entirely useless." The woman's eyes shone bright with her own arrogance. The confidence was not misplaced, however; the pink female was capable of defending herself quite well.
"If I am not mistaken, you have domain over light, correct?" A hand moved to her lower lip as she made a sultry gesture and compelled a little pout to emerge across her facial features. "If that is the case, then I need to ask you a few questions." The pout remained on her face as she instinctively pulled the heavy cloak a little closer around her shoulders.
"If you cannot do what I require, I'll take my leave and you can kiss my sweet touche goodbye."

I'm waking up, I feel it in my bones... he laughed. it was loud, and bounced off the mountains around him cast in shadow. he was amused now, and thought briefly of what bella would have thought of this tiny and insignificant human ordering him around. him, someone with the ability to slice her to bits and feast on her tender flesh. the stomachs of females were always the best. he circled her slowly, listening to her pleas and finding himself more and more curious about the young girl. "perhaps my domain is light. perhaps you have come far too out of the way of humans for anyone to hear you scream."
he was fibbing in a way. he didn't really want to kill her, and reached forward to take the weapon from her hands. he smirked to himself, noting how he had seemed something similar from one of his previous pacts, a weapon formed to use light and energy as ammo. nodding to himself he chuckled, turning his back to the girl without actually laying a finger on her. "ask your questions. i will decide on the answers. if they are not entertaining, you won't leave alive."

[attr="class","top"]FELLED in the night by the ones you think you love they will come for you
[attr="class","one"] [attr="class","tbody"]the female scoffed at the notion that she had come too far for others to hear her screams. if he honestly thought she gave a shit, he was mistaken. she did not intend to die today and, as far as she was concerned, that was not going to happen. he would fall before he could taste the faintest bit of her crimson blood. a cruel smirk fell onto the pinkette's face, her eyes not showing even the slightest hint of amusement. did he think he was cute?
cavanaugh was not about to deny the echo the right to feel up her weapons, but she would have never let him take hold of her blade. it was safe to say that even the slightest of separation from it was enough to cause her anxiety, so much so that she bathed with it upon her back. dull eyes watched the creature carefully, mind beginning to wonder how the being had came into existence. the thoughts caused cavanaugh's face to morph into one of disgust.
"i am not here for your entertainment, so do not hold me to your foolish expectations. i am here on business and solely that. i am no jester and you are no king." her voice held the slightest hints of hostility. "i want to make a pact with you because i want to survive for at least five more years. in tact. as a human." hopefully she was being blunt enough to get her points across.

I'm waking up, I feel it in my bones... there was always something fascinating about those who thought so little of him. he nodded to himself, studying her for a moment, almost feeling offended by her tone. refusing to allow himself to sink to such a pathetic human level, he held out a hand silently. he gazed at her with raw hunger, the temptation of a pact too much to resist. these idiots were always so eager.
"terms of the agreement?" he rumbled, taking a step closer to her. he took in her harsh yet gentle features, and her light hair. she was a fairly attractive human, though he felt nothing for her. the terms were always fleshed out by the human. they may have been intelligent, more intelligent than echoes, but they were selfish and unconcerned with loopholes that he could slide through. the thought of sinking his teeth into her throat and ripping open a hole big enough to view her vertebrae made his mouth water, as he watched her like the slab of meat she was.

[attr="class","top"]FELLED in the night by the ones you think you love they will come for you
[attr="class","one"] [attr="class","tbody"]blaire was not entirely sure as to the creature's reasoning behind extending a hand, but she surely was not shaking any hands that could try to infect her with the disgusting infectious agent that would turn her into something that did not think. she would not be ruled by hunger more than she already was. she wanted to retain her morals. to grow as a being. at least, for five more years. by then she figured she would be ready to die.
to be honest, the female had not put much thought into what kinds of terms the agreement needed. she just didn't want to die, or turn into an echo, for another five years. what would some nice terms be? well, mostly she just wanted protection. she wouldn't try to kill the echo either, for that matter. but what did he mean by 'terms'? she'd been ill-prepared and cocky. then again, why would she have to lay things out? perhaps the echo was up to something.
"if you'll have it," the voice softened ever-so-slightly, "i would prefer you to set up the terms. if i were to do it, it may allow you to get away with something and i do not want that to happen. it seems fairer if you create some terms and i modify them, and eventually through various formal processes, we can reach a compromise and be on our merry ways." it was weird that she had not thrown out a vulgar insult, so she felt the need to throw something out there. "sound good, dickhead?" a pink eyebrow rose, waiting to see what the echo wanted to do.
