VASUNDHARA JOSHI

Joshi is often described as a force of nature. Nurturing and beautiful, but destructive and often violent. Despite her reputation, she's actually quite a carefree young woman who loves nothing more than a damn fine adventure. As a Seahawk Wingmaster she controls her own ship and runs it with an iron fist, though with her special position and circumstances in the group she often is training up to four new seahawks at a time, teaching them how to barter and scavenge for things. She doesn't take kindly to betrayal and is known to be very affectionate and forgiving to small instances, but once you turn your back on her you've got an enemy for life. Not foolish enough to think she owns the land she walks on, or the sea she sails on, she respects nature and it's formidable personality and teaches her seahawks to do the same. Do not tame the beast, befriend it so that it may forever remember you. One of her more bad habits is how she loves to wander off to explore, and for some odd reason always manages to vanish in the heat of a tense situation. She's a bit of a spiritual nut, and often simply goes by her last name Joshi, which means "fortune teller" in Hindi. 

Joshi lived in a family who made a living making medicines in an Indian dome. Not much was known about the sudden destruction of the dome, and Joshi merely reveals that she had a lot of family living in a small home. She barely managed to escape with her life, and hijacked one of the fishing houseboats used to sail in the rivers. With a wounded baby elephant in tow she sailed her way to America, hardening against the horrors of the land and aftermath. She was found and surrounded by Seahawks upon entering too close to their waters, and recruited easily. She rose quickly through the ranks with her pleasant attitude and ruthless bartering, and became somewhat of a den mother for her nurturing nature. Though she always keeps a walkie talkie on her in case the Ironwing needs her, she tends to take long trips across land with her elephant companion Ganesh, who is often decorated in a traditional fashion.
