[attr="class","boxas"] Celeste Faraj Farina Personality Silently, Celeste decides his fate is sealed - a fatalist at heart, he believes that everyone has their own destiny to fulfill, and it's very difficult to change that fate. You must be truly strong to change your destiny, that's what he thinks, and he believes himself to be too weak to get himself out of his current predicament. His inferiority complex is severe, almost to the point of being crippling. It was mostly borne out of how he was treated when he was younger. As a result, he thinks he is incredibly weak and hopes, nay, prays, for the day someone will save him or teach him how to become 'strong.' As a result, his opinions on many things are blocked or tuned out. Rarely will he wax philosophical on many things in life. Life in the Dome is hellish enough with how both fellow civilians and militants stare at him with their hungry eyes. Last thing he needs is to ponder the meaning of life in Wasteland Hell. Despite all these hardships, Celeste tries not to let things get to his head too hard and tries his best to slug through life. It's this hardworking trait of his that sometimes can be somewhat of an eye-opener. And even if he values himself as a pathetic kind of person, he still tries to make sure that his fellows that are probably just as unfortunate as he is if not worse are in good spirits too. In a way, he tries to comfort and support others so that he can forget about his own misery and suffering. In channeling his inward turmoil into helping others he thinks he might gather a strong positive karma for the future. He's a depressed emotional wreck that struggles to take care of himself in this torrid landscape of hatred, lies, deceit and corruption. Humanity is shit, he knows it, believes he's powerless against it, and almost feels like a princess trapped in a cage of thorns. Except the prince that will save her is either dead or will come far too late. He believes that's his fate. To die as someone who's merely a slave to the masses. The best he knows he can do is to make sure nobody else who's trying to make an honest, good life out of the dire situation suffers the same fate. History When Celeste was born, no one could tell if he was a male or female at first glance. Eventually they did confirm he was a boy but it was too difficult to discern at first glance. So his parents decided to name him a unisex name but make it more feminine, and they opted to raise him as a daughter instead of a son, as his late older brother had died in action out in a freak accident during a scouting mission under the military, and they wanted to avoid a similar experience. Thus they decided to groom Celeste as a daughter, prim and proper as could be in this environment, subservient, submissive, obedient. The father never talked about his job, only that he faced 'constant danger' and worked 'a more honest life than those military rats who got their late son killed.' The mother just stayed around to try and take care of things at home. Meanwhile, Celeste was surrounded by those who, eventually sought to use Celeste for their own unspeakable desires, and of course there was the one instance where someone from the military could not control himself, ended up stalking Celeste to his home after he was sent on an errand by his mother. The mother was killed trying to protect Celeste who ended up being physically violated and beaten in his already run-down home. The father was out on an "important mission" and returned home to see the dead body of his wife and a half-naked, beaten Celeste. The father sought revenge against the military having had the last straw. First they sent his son to his death and then they go off and kill his wife and violate his 'daughter.' He didn't want to leave Celeste alone, so he sent him to be taken care of by his sister (Celeste's aunt) who Celeste currently lives with. As for the father himself, Celeste never heard from him again after he learned about what happened while he was lying pretty much unconscious. Demoralized, broken, despite the efforts from his aunt to cheer him up and keep him sane, Celeste eventually found himself working as a waitress or barmaid depending on where he was sent; he was sent to multiple different establishments as basically an attendant or hostess for anyone who looked for relief from the horrors of the world. Of course this didn't save him from being abused of course. There was one time where a particularly lecherous man tried to go too far with Celeste even if the establishment didn't permit it. Someone had saved Celeste from that man and took him out (apparently, that man was quite a disturbance there anyways, so it was a welcome breath of fresh air). That said someone was a dashing lady, who said that Celeste didn't deserve to be here. Yet she did nothing more than save him from that one instance. To this day, Celeste is still forced to work the position of the hostess, despite his being a boy, an effeminate one to be sure. He's still forced to suffer this hell. This hell of being a slave to those in power, those with the money, those with the desire. He was powerless, he IS powerless. | [attr="class","sigh"]starlet [attr="class","sigh"]male [attr="class","sigh"]19 [attr="class","sigh"]human [attr="class","sigh"]civilian [attr="class","sigh"]5'4" [attr="class","sigh"]104 lbs [attr="class","sigh"]bi-curious [attr="class","sigh"]hostess [attr="class","sigh"]trancehime [attr="class","fall"]ORIGINAL; belleza fellutia - celeste farina |
