Jaden yawned as the sun sank below the horizon. She couldn't believe all the hype the Dome's government made about the lands outside. She hadn't seen the slightest suggestion of the "terrible blight" that these echos were supposed to be. All in all it was boring, to be honest. She hadn't seen much of anyone besides the occasional drifter, and they'd never stuck around long. One small group had asked her to join them but why should she bother? "Safety in numbers" they'd said. Safety from what, she wondered.
Well, at least the scenery was interesting, she decided. The redhead headed further into the area the drifters had called "the floes" with a careless air about her. They'd warned her to be careful; to avoid the place entirely if she could. But honestly, what was all the fuss about? She'd be fine. It was probably just a bunch of hype and propaganda anyway, these echos. Chances were most of them had died out ages ago. What were they living off of? Grass? Sand? Bah.
Buncha pussies. Well Jaden wasn't afraid of a bunch of scary stories! And besides, she had guns and explosives in case of any boogeymen. She was a big girl and could take care of her own damn self, thank you very much. It was on that rather cocky thought that she heard the faintest suggestion of a sound. Whirling to face the direction she thought it might have come from she peered into the deepening gloom and demanded, "Show yourself!" in her most imperious tone. MADE BY CHIASM OF GS

Down below, just over the edge of the cliff, a length of dead tree protruded out from the hard lava. No human could reach it without a rope, but Bella's body was long enough to lower herself onto it and gaze at the churning clouds for hours. Someone up above was shouting. Had someone come to kill her? Steal her books? She crawled to the very end of the tree and looked up, it was a young girl, her chest was puffed out, eyes narrowed like a spoiled brat defying parents. She was demanding Bella appear. Well then.
From the girl's perspective, she'd hear something over the edge, looking over it would reveal a horrendous sight. Bella's body would look less beautiful and more like the monster she truly was. Her mouth hung open far too wide and looking into it showed grotesque rows and rows of teeth that churned and gnashed all the way down her gullet. She reached the top and let out a scream, rising to make herself look as tall a possible and towered at a staggering 12 feet, while a remaining six feet coiled on the ground.
All too fast she struck, just like a snake in a blink and was upon the girl, upon closer inspection her chest and stomach hung out like an empty pelican's beak from her mouth, as if the human portion of her body were merely a sack of teeth waiting to devour the girl. She'd eat her for sure, and wonder later on if this one might be a friend of her little book bringing envoy.

At first there was nothing and Jaden thought maybe it was just her imagination playing tricks on her. She crept closer to the cliff edge and peered down, expecting not to see much of anything but to her shock and horror she saw what could only be described as a monster. Letting out an undignified yelp, she staggered back from the edge and groped for a gun. Her right hand closed on the grip of the pistol at her hip, panic-fogged brain thinking clear enough to know speed would probably be more important. The rifle across her back would take too long to get into firing position.
As the horrible teeth-snake-thing reared up and over the edge of the cliff letting out an unholy scream, Jaden opened fire. She was too shaken to even attempt to aim properly. Before now she had only ever shot at paper and she'd never seen anything like this... thing. It shook the girl to her core as she emptied the clip in the general direction of the monster, hands trembling slightly. Even after the gun ran out of bullets, she pulled on the trigger reflexively, adrenaline flooding her frame.
But it did her little to no good as suddenly the huge and too toothy creature was barreling down on her. Jaden shrieked and dropped the gun, dodging to the left in a desperate attempt to escape. As she did so she fumblingly got the rifle off her back only to nearly drop it as she tripped on a bit of loose rock. She swore. "What the fuck is this!? What the fuck what the fuck HOLY SHIT!" |

She watched the human's pupils shrink to tiny dots as the air flooded with the sweet scent of fear and adrenaline. All the human would be able to smell was Bella, rotten meat and flowers, along with the scent of brimstone from the molten stone patches around them. Hmph, not so cocky now.
There was a gun, and while there was no aim one bullet hit home in her left shoulder and the other grazed her scalp. It didn't matter, she struck, but the human dodged. Her gaping and terrible maw crashed into the earth, rancid acidic saliva splashed out from the impact. She righted herself, yellow eyes watching the human fumble and curse panic stricken.
Her body made a wet crunching sound as she set her human half into a more presentable shape and grinned at any reaction the human may have before throwing herself forward, claws extending to grab the human at her hips, if she caught her, she'd pull herself up and sink her teeth into the soft flesh just beneath her ribs.

Rifle clutched uselessly in her right hand, Jaden madly whirled her left arm to try and regain her balance. She succeeded, barely, and spun to face her attacker, feet braced on uneven stone as the stench of rotten meat and flowers filled her nose. She gagged slightly, her stomach roiling in nausea and fear.
Her face was chalky as she moved the butt of the rifle to her shoulder. She felt a spark of victory at the sight of the monster's faceplant, but that spark guttered and died at the sickening crunching sounds that came from the monster rearranging its human-looking parts. Oh god she might be sick. Bile rose in her throat and her hands shook.
She pulled the trigger as the monster reached for her but the shot went wild, doing her absolutely no good as the thing's claws reached her. The gun dropped from nerveless fingers as Jaden desperately squirmed, a strangled shout coming from fear-numbed lips as her hands scrabbled uselessly in a vain attempt to pry the claws away from her body. The shout died to the barest of breathless squeaks as the monster's teeth sunk into her abdomen. Her mouth gaped soundlessly at the shock of it, at the sudden pain. |

There was a point at which the human body could no longer register the amount of pain going the senses, first came things like screaming, vomiting, crying or even hyperventilating. She was strong enough to hold her, tearing the clothing away from her bite, leaving wounded flesh exposed. She licked it with her forked tongue, drinking. The arm at the girls hip slipped around her tail bone, holding both her hips in a one armed "hug" while the other locked over her shoulder. She even went so far as to force herself between the girls legs to hold her still. If she was squirming now, she was really about to lose it.
The Bellarix bit again, this time she tore the flesh away, just to hear her scream. It was probably the most pain the human has ever felt, though it woukdnt last long. She tore at the clothing more, trying to remove it, it wasn't out of some sick sexual preference, more like a meal preference. You would not eat a cow with jeans on. The human would taste better without being seasoned in polyester.
She was so warm, heart hammering against the bones, she'd go into shock soon. Bella cradled her, pushing her body father up the human, coilibg her tail around her where she started to squeeze. Each time the girl exhaled it would get tighter, forcing the breaths to become shallow with less room for the lungs to expand. Her long tongue flicked over her neck and she bit again, unable to resist the blood, so much blood, so warm, so hungry. Bella was dizzy with her bloodlust,licking the girls bare skin, swallowing all the blood she could as her coils compressed even tighter. Something in the body suddenly gave with a snap, Bella hardly noticed over her moaning, her drinking she was clearly enjoying this.
(Lots of power play here, but i figured since i have permission to kill her.....let me know if you want her to run around some more before she dies and I'll fix this. As for the snap in her coils, you can decide if it was arm, leg, rib ect. Sorry about the rapey position and clothes tearing....xnotreallyx)

"No, please," Jaden gasped out as pain surged along her nerves. "Please no, please," she begged, beginning to hyperventilate. It wasn't just the bite, though that was horrible enough. It was that the snake-thing's saliva burned in the wounds like acid, making everything all the more nightmarishly awful. She gasped and whimpered in pain as the creature ran a tongue over her wounds, blood running freely across her skin. As the creature shifted, maneuvering Jaden's whole body, she began, belatedly, to struggle. Then as she felt the monster slide between her legs she became frantic.
She thrashed against the creature's superior strength desperation making her wild in spite of the pain. Then flesh was torn away and Jaden could only scream, going wide-eyed and limp in the snake monster's grip. She screamed until her voice was raw, until she ran out of breath, until she almost choked on her own tongue. Then she whimpered, gasped. Half-formed pleas tumbled from her lips in a choked, raw whisper as tears of pain and terror leaked from her eyes.
Helpless in the snake monster's grip, Jaden squirmed weakly as she felt it coil more tightly around her. Fear and pain made her limp-limbed and wobbly but desperation kept her moving. She cringed and whimpered, gasping out another plea as that serpentine tongue touched her neck, only to choke on a gasp as those too sharp teeth cut through her flesh once again. Bile rose in her throat and her breathing became even more unsteady and shallow, fighting to expand against the increasing pressure. The coils gripped even tighter, shifting over to a painful amount as Jaden whimpered and writhed in vain. Then her body gave in a place it was not meant to. Her shin bones cracked under the pressure sending flashes of black and white ripping across the girl's vision. She couldn't even breathe as even more pain wracked her body, her mouth stretched open in a silent scream. |
